Question Debbugs: Should Debian maintain its own bug tracker? -- Raphaël Walther

The Debian GNU/Linux distribution has relied for over 20 years on a bug tracker originally developed by Ian Jackson in 1994. On 3 June 2014, the FreeBSD Project began its migration from GNATS to Bugzilla and thus adds itself to the long list of free software projects using this software. Is it an example to follow?
