GnuPG is an important tool for Debian Developers to keep distribution secure. Gnuk Token is a USB device to put OpenPGP keys (like OpenPGP card). I will talk about current GnuPG development and Gnuk Token.
Now, Gnuk Token only has the capability of RSA-2048, thus, it's not that popular among Debian Developers, so far.
New version of GnuPG, 2.1.x is currently in beta testing. Possibly (if it will get standardized soon and Curve25519 implementation in libgcrypt will be ready), it will include EdDSA and Curve25519 feature.
Current development version of Gnuk has EdDSA and Curve25519 implementation already, and it's only protocol handling for those algorithms to be implemented.
With EdDSA/Curve25519, it's fast enough even on a chip with no crypto accelerator, and everyone would want to use Gnuk Token to hold his private keys securely.
Besides, I would like to promote Using GPG authentication key for SSH access.
This talk will be not so Debian specific.
I think that 69/gnupg-in-debian-bof should have priority than this, because it is close to Debian and my concerns could be discussed there (if slots are tight).
